“Kaun Banega Crorepati” has always been the biggest game show in India’s screen never feeling afraid to pull every string of one’s hears to make it sing. The entire country is excited to see its comeback presenting its 9th season. It has always been a platform where a common man’s dream finds voice. It has been on air for the past 17 years barring only a few breaks. Siddharth Basu, the producer says “KBC is richness of content, integrity and quality” and he finds himself ecstatic to be a part of such a franchise.
The shows stars Amitabh Bachchan as the host every season and telly audience can never accept any one replacing him. The opening episode on 15th September casts Bollywood’s superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan confronting each other. The fascinating part of the episode is that Amitabh Bachchan is seated on the “hot seat” with his son on his very own host seat interrogating him, where Abhishek Bachchan says he’ll take away all the money his dad wins when Big B interrupts saying it is his money. This show witnesses the bond between the two B’s where the duo raps together setting fire on the platform. According to the Times of India, the rap session between the two B’s were an impromptu session striking the audience at the right place. The show witnesses the chilled cooperation between the two as both of them comes together to host the new season comprising of 34 to 35 episodes.
The quintessential part of this season is the addition of a new segment called “ Nai Chah Nai Rah” bringing the actual heroes of our day to day life to the spotlight. In this segment, Abhishek Bachchan would get Mr. Anshu Gupta of Goonj Foundation to accompany him on the hot seat. The Goonj foundation is said to be a dedicated institution providing aid to the afflicted ones who were victims to the natural calamities by providing them the basic amenities like sanitary napkins and clothes. In this session we have Amitabh Bachchan talking about the unconditional contributions made by this association to the society.
While we have a section of the society terming this season as a way of uplifting for the BJP party but the enthusiastic India neglecting such comments, looks forward to have themselves seated in front of their television from 9:00 pm on weekdays (Monday to Friday). India awaits for the season with much anticipation expecting it to create magic again with our host making iconic phrases like “Deviyon Aur Sajjano” and “Lock Kiya Jai.”
