Theme-cafes are totally in now! Kolkata has got more than ten theme-cafes and there are still many which we haven’t visited yet. Mrs.Magpie, Blue Mug Cafe, Abar Baithak are few cafes which are quite popular nowadays. Even travel-theme cafes like ‘My Wanderboots’ or ‘Travelistan’ are quite a thing. In every lane or road, you will find that one cafe which defines your character and interest you with its theme.
Hindustan Park has now got a new cafe! So, it’s not only about Mrs.Magpie, Wise Owl or even Azad Hind Dhaba now, but it’s definitely an eye candy for the people who love TinTin! Tintin And The Brussels Club, it opened its doors yesterday which is 30th March 18’.
There are cutouts of Tintin and Snowy all over the cafe and outside too! Covers of the comics and sketches of characters dot the wall: Haddock, a scatty Calculus and the famous twins.
The restaurant is not only covered pictures of Tintin, Snowy and the other characters like Haddock but also, it gives you vibes straight from Brussels.
Two of the walls are covered with photos of Brussels. One corner had a lovely old piano. The menu is largely continental in keeping with the Brussels theme. It’s a good news for Tintin fans there! So people who love continental cuisine will get a chance to enjoy it with their favourite comic character Tintin. Such a win-win situation!
If you want to enjoy more then there’s Chetty’s Corner which is famous for their potato spirals, the J’s for their more than 30 flavours of French fries and a quaint French cafe in the Park Mansions building named Le Cafe!
