Huawei’s next phone is all set to be something special, to feature a unique triple camera system
In January, Huawei may have only just launched the Mate 10 Pro at CES. However, the company is readily preparing to launch yet another flagship device at a certain Paris event on the 27th of March.
If leaks are to be believed, the Huawei P20 will perhaps, be the first smartphone ever to feature a triple lens rear camera system. How amazing is that!
However, the event’s invite, with its recurrence of the ”OOO” motif seems to absolutely confirm that fact.
The launch of three devices will be witnessed in the event: the P20, P20 Lite and P20 Plus. Among these, the triple camera is mostly expected to feature in the P20 and P20 Plus, where the P20 Lite is expected to have a dual camera!
To add to it, it is not yet clear as to how the Huawei will be executing that third camera. Usually, the dual camera systems are either composed of a telephoto lens, or a monochrome (lighting focused), a standard lens and a coloured one as well.
The unique triple camera system could combine combine both these methods, or have a completely different function altogether.
Rumour has it, that the triple lens system will probably be used for 40MP stills at 5x zoom, so that the third camera might just be for multiple zoom levels.
Besides that, the aforementioned devices will feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C along with a 3.5mm jack. It is presumed that it consists of a 5.8-inch display screen on the P20 Lite. Rumour also has it that all the three versions have an iPhone-like notch. The bottom end device may also feature a HiSilicom Kirin 970 SoC, with 4GB RAM and a 32GN internal storage.
After Mate 10 Pro, we definitely can’t keep calm to see the performance of Huawei – whether or not it can squeeze out of a device with an additional camera module.
This is definitely going to let Huawei bounce back into the spotlight, come March.
