Dehradun security guard Bijendra teaches children from nearby slums under ATM lights

In a developing country like India, there are many areas which are in need of proper education. But the people who fall under the poverty line do not have enough financial power to send their kids to a school. And for them, there are some heroes like Brijendra, a former army man currently working as a security guard at an ATM.

The old security guard from Dehradun went viral on social media for the fact that apart from his day-job, the man also teaches children from nearby slums.

He became famous when former cricketer VVS Laxman shared photographs of the man on Twitter. Brijendra takes his classes under lights of the ATM.  In one of the photographs, Brijendra’s students can be seen sitting with books and notebooks, apparently waiting for the lesson to begin.

The post from the former Indian cricketer earned a lot of appreciation of Twitter. The post has been liked by over 9,000 people on Twitter and shared over 1,300 times.

We need more such people to come up and make the world a better place to live in.
