When we hear the word ‘boxing’, there is only one name thats pops up in our minds and that is of Floyd Mayweather Jr. He has ruled the sport like none other and is still undefeated with a 100 percent win record. The superstar has won each and every fight in his illustrious career taking his tally to 50-0. He competed from 1996 to 2007 and 2009 to 2015, and made a one-fight comeback in 2017.
During his reign the champion has held several world titles in five weight classes and the lineal championship in four weight classes (twice at welterweight). He is arguably the best fighter the boxing ring has ever seen and his records speaks loads about him. His last fight was against Conor McGregor, which he won and surpassed Rocky Marciano’s record of 49–0.
Floyd is known to be the best defensive boxer in the history of the sport which is quite a thing to be proud of. He has an outstanding record of 26 consecutive wins in world title fights and is also one of the most accurate punchers to have stepped into the ring. Mayweather, who turns 40 today, also has the highest plus-minus ratio in recorded boxing history.
