Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians, Match 7: 10 point Round-Up

  • Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and Kane Williamson opted to bowl first
  • Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma once again failed to make an impact as he departed early
  • The Mumbai middle order too looked shaky as the likes of Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard could not convert their starts to something big
  • Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan bowled a gem of a spell for the Sunrisers giving away just 13 runs in his 4 overs.
  • Sandeep Sharma and Siddarth Kaul picked up 2 wickets each for the Hyderabad Franchise restricting Mumbai to a score of 147/8
  • Shikhar Dhawan looked in terrific form along with Wriddhiman Saha as they started the chase well
  • But after the opening pair was sent back to the pavilion, none of the middle order batters could form a partnership as wickets fell at regular intervals

  • Surprisingly for Mumbai, Mayank Markande picked up 4 crucial wickets for just 23 runs which set up a nail-biting finish between the two sides
  • Mustafizur Rahman too bowled with determination as he picked up three of Sunrisers wickets giving Mumbai hope of winning the match
  • But it was Deepak Hooda (32) who saw the home side over the line with just 1 wicket remaining scripting their second victory of the season

Mumbai Indians 147/8 (20 overs)
Sunrisers Hyderabad 151/9 (20 overs)
