Watch: Paul Pogba gives thunderous dressing room speech before stepping into the World Cup final

The FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia was full of iconic performances but there was one team which looked on song from the very start. There was one team which went past all the obstacles thrown at them and lifted the prestigious trophy. Yes, we are talking about none other than the French team that stood a level above all the others and deserved to crowned as the World Champions.

The dominant French side had many star performers who helped them become World champions after 20 years and one of them is Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. The towering midfielder not only excels with the ball but is an inspiration for all the other players in his team. It was his inspirational speech before the start of the final against Croatia that is going viral on social media and it is a video you would want to see over and over again.

“I don’t know how many matches we have played in our careers but this is the match which changes everything. That changes all of history.”

“There are two teams and there’s one trophy. For them, it’s the same. They want it. But today we will not let another team take what is ours.”

Pogba talked about the scars of the past, the hope for the future, expectations and the love for the trophy. He wanted to do it for the French people and was determined to show the world that this French side is capable of writing its name in the history books. If this doesn’t motivate you we do not know what will.

“I want this evening to be in the memory of all the French people who are watching us. Their children, their children’s children, and their children’s children’s children. And want us to go on the pitch as leaders and warriors.”
