Horror movie enthusiasts those who have watched The Conjuring and its counterparts must be familiar with the character Valak which has caused terror in our lives. The latest addition to the series is The Nun which is a prequel to the story of Valak is out now and trust us it is sure to give you goosebumps.
The character, which was not there in the series originally but added in during the reshoots, was a massive success as it ended up handing sleepless nights to a lot of people all over the world.
But do you guys know the actor who plays the scary character of Valak? Her name is Bonnie Aarons and she is doing absolute justice to the role, nailing it to perfection.
But if you think she is new into the scene you are mistaken. She has been scaring the shit out of us since long. The actress has appeared in several movies like, Dear God, Shallow Hal, Wristcutters: A Love Story, I Know Who Killed Me, Hell Ride, Dahmer vs. Gacy, The Fighter and Drag Me To Hell.
If you remember the terrifying character of Bum from David Lynch’s Mulholland Drive, you’ve been getting nightmares of the same woman who plays Valak. She has not only played horror genres but is also famous for playing the role of Baroness Joy Von Troken in The Princess Diaries series and as Ricky D’Angelo’s mother in Silver Linings Playbook.
Aarons was criticized in her acting school and was told that she might not have a successful career because of her unique looks. But who can stop somebody who is destined to be successful? Her unique look caught the attention of James Wan and he cast her in The Conjuring 2 which sky rocketed her career as a horror icon.
Apart from movies in The Conjuring Universe, the actress actually appeared in a 1993 commercial as an actual nun making the viewers believe she was destined to be Valak, the lead character of The Nun.
