Kerala man’s soulful singing garners massive praise from singer Shankar Mahadevan
Becoming popular is not much of a struggle if you have the talent. Thanks to social media, which is responsible for turning ordinary individuals into superstars, overnight. And here we have a similar story where a certain man from Kerala is winning the internet with his melodious voice.
A certain video that is going viral portrays a man, who was later found out to be a daily wage labourer, sitting on a field and singing the Tamil hit ‘Unnai Kaanadhu Naan’ from Kamal Hassan’s film, Vishwaroopam. The original version of the song has been sung by Shankar Mahadevan himself and was composed by the very popular trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
It is not just the Netizens who are going all crazy over his beautiful, lovely singing – great singers like Shankar Mahadevan and Gopi Sundar have become his fans just as well. To add to it, they were on a mission to look for him and well, guess what? The man has now been traced.

The video has already been watched by millions and well, the man garnered truckloads of praise. Just in case you are curious, the man is Rakesh Nooranadu from Alu Penadu in Kerala’s Alappuzha district. He said, in a certain interview, that he had no idea how the video would go viral and so many people would like it.
He also said that it was not him but a certain driver who had recorded the video at work and posted it online. When he was asked how did he sing without ever learning music, he replied by saying that his family is full of talented people and he learned singing after listening to them. He has been learning music for the past two months.
Well, it’s crazy how so many people, lost on different corners of the world, have so much to offer!
