Sir Alex Ferguson under intensive care after brain surgery, Beckham, Ronaldo and others pray for his speedy recovery
When we talk about the greatest managers in football history, the first name that comes to our mind Sir Alex Ferguson. He has been an absolute blessing to the game and we are no stranger to his iconic spell of 26 years as the manager of one of England’s greatest clubs Manchester United.
The Scottish football manager underwent an emergency surgery on Saturday for a brain haemorrhage. According to reports, the surgery went smoothly but there has been no update on Ferguson’s condition.
The football world has been left shattered by the news of the legendary manager’s illness and a lot of football players voiced their concern over the same.
Former England captain David Beckham told Ferguson:
“Keep fighting Boss. Sending prayers and love to Cathy and the whole family”
On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo, former Manchester United player who is currently playing for the Real Madrid squad tweeted:
“My thoughts and prayers are with you, my dear friend. Be strong, Boss!”
Ferguson has had a wonderful career as Manchester United manager as he led the Red Devils to 38 titles during his tenure at the helm. His last appearance was on last Sunday at Old Trafford where he handed Arsenal’s French manager Arsene Wenger a plaque in recognition for his work with the London club which he will be leaving at the end of the current season.
