Argentina and Lionel Messi are not having a time of their liking in the 2018 FIFA World cup in Russia. The Albiceleste, who were tipped as the possible winners of the mega-event drew their first match against Iceland with Lionel Messi failing to score from the spot kick.
Everyone expected Argentina to bounce back strongly in their next game against Croatia but things got worst for Jorge Sampaoli’s side.
Argentina lost 3-0 to Croatia’s golden generation leaving their supporters stunned and hopeless and even the talismanic Lionel Messi could not do anything about it.
According to The Sun, Dinu Alex, a die-hard fan of Lionel Messi was left devastated with Argentina’s humiliating defeat at the hands of Croatia and a note was found written in Malayalam in the bedroom of the fan.
“Nothing is left in this world for me to see. I am leaving for the depth of death. Nobody is responsible for my death.”
The 30-year-old from a small village, Arumanoor, on the banks of Meenachil River in Kottayam district has been missing ever since Argentina lost to Croatia. Police fear that the youth must have resorted to some extreme step seeing his icon helpless and clueless on the pitch.
A rescue operation has been launched by the Police and the Fire and Rescue unit, mainly in the nearby Meenachil river. However, the Police are facing some problems carrying out the operation as the water level has risen and there are strong currents due to heavy rainfall.
Going by the words of Joseph Kottathil, a relative of the youth, Dinu was an introvert and had very few friends. He was a staunch follower of the Barcelona superstar and followed all the major league football matches. In one of his books, it was found written as, “Messi, my life is for you, waiting to see you lift the Cup.” In another place it is written, “My team is starting its journey, carrying my life. I will do it”.
Dinu’s father P V Alexander saw his son watching the match before going to bed. But in the morning there were no signs of the youth in the house but there was only a suicide note written by Dinu.
