Bollywood lost one it’s most precious gems as the legendary Sridevi passed away as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest. The veteran actress was in Dubai at a wedding with hubby Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor accompanying her. The news of her death on Sunday took the world of cinema by shock as she was found lying on the bath tub, dead.

While the whole Bollywood industry mourned the demise of the iconic actress, some people also claimed that she died because of her numerous cosmetic surgeries, which were utter rubbish. However, if reports are to be believed, there is new twist in the story.

Sridevi drowned after losing her balance and falling into the bathtub under the influence of alcohol, fresh reports have claimed. A forensic report has cited accidental drowning as the cause of death, according to Gulf News, tweeted by news agency ANI.

According to the tweets from ANI, Sridevi had traces of alcohol in her blood and she fell into the bathtub under the influence of alcohol resulting in her drowning. The actor’s body has been released for embalming according to ANI. The agency also tweeted that the news has been confirmed by the Government of Dubai through a statement from the media office.

The case has been handed over to the Dubai Public Prosecution, who has been given the responsibility to take the ‘legal procedures’ forward in the case.

“The investigation is still going on to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident as the forensic report only says that she drowned,” an official told Gulf News.

The sequence of the events are also investigation while the police continues to hunt every detail. They are also trying to fins who was present with her at the time of the incident. Since the actress died outside a hospital, the police had to be informed and they will also register a case and investigate the cause of the incident, a report in the Times of India stated.
