Now, there is some good news for all of you who think we will never get a movie like 3 idiots ever again.
Reportedly Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed a sequel to the iconic film and there seem to be lots in store for the movie buffs. However, the cast is still not decided and it is to be seen whether the director goes with the same cast which gave tremendous performances in 3 idiots.
Hirani has stated that he is writing something with his co-writer Abhijaat Joshi but there is still time before the thing develops into a proper script as he has started writing only a few days ago. The highly talented director has also expressed his eagerness to take the franchise forward as 3 idiots was a grand success and one of the most beautiful films Bollywood have ever produced.
According to Mid Day, Aamir Khan fans will have to wait for the sequel as it is only after Munna Bhai 3 that Rajkumar Hirani will start locking everything for the Aamir Khan starrer.
“I definitely want to make a sequel to 3 Idiots. In fact, Abhijat [Joshi, writer] and I started writing something a few days ago. But it’s still in the initial stage and we will take a fair amount of time to develop the script.”
The cast, pre-production everything still needs to be decided but keep calm as it is confirmed that a sequel is being planned. It is to be seen if Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan will be retained.
So it is time for Aamir Khan fans to rejoice as there is something magnificent coming their way. We cannot wait for the film to get finalised and we also need to see if the film takes off from where it finished. Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani is busy with ‘Sanju’ the trailer of which has impressed all the movie buffs and is expected to be another masterpiece from the director.
