After the failure of Race 3 at the box office, there are huge expectations from Salman Khan’s upcoming project ‘Bharat’. Priyanka Chopra was roped in as the leading lady opposite Salman in the grand project but she left everyone in shock after pulling out of it suddenly citing personal reasons.

The news was there could be a possible wedding on the cards with Nick Jonas, who she has been dating for a while now. It was said that Salman was furious with Priyanka for opting not to do the film and even vowed not to work with her in the future. But Salman’s father Salim Khan rubbished such reports stating that Salman is not upset with the actress and such things happen in the industry.

According to India.com, Salman recently opened up about the matter saying that he is very happy for Priyanka and they would not have signed her for Bharat if they knew she has signed a Hollywood film. According to the superstar, Priyanka’s decision came just 10 days before her schedule.

The actor said that when Priyanka came to his home regarding this, she gave a completely different reason. ANI quoted him saying:

“Whatever may be the reason – be it marriage or picture or her not being willing to work in India or with me, it’s her reason and we are really supportive about her doing good work. If she does not want to work with Salman Khan, it’s okay; she’s working with a big hero in Hollywood.”

Salman thanked Katrina Kaif, who has replaced Priyanka Chopra in the film. Earlier Ali Abbas also hinted that there is something big happening in Priyanka’s life which left everyone guessing that he was talking about a possible marriage with Nick Jonas. However, Priyanka refused to open up about her relationship in public.

Bharat, which is all set to hit the screens on Eid 2018, also features actress Disha Patani in a pivotal role apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
