People who have been following Shah Rukh Khan from his early days in the Bollywood film industry must be aware of the beautiful romantic songs he has been part of. Going back to the 90’s, Shah Rukh has always been seen spreading his charm in beautiful numbers that we still can’t get our minds off. And one singer whose voice did justice to Shah rukh’s aura and romance for quite some time is one other than Abhijeet Bhattacharya.

Abhijeet, off late, is more into tackling political questions than singing and is also known for landing himself into controversies with his comments. And the star singer, who stopped singing for Shah Rukh after a point of time, did exactly the same at the India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards 2018 when he revealed the reason for the same.
The singer took a dig at the Baadshah of Bollywood saying that Shah Rukh was a rock star till he sang for the actor.

“I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him – and I stopped singing for him – he came down to Lungi Dance”
He further went on to explain his choice and it might well lead to a big controversy in the coming days.
“It was a very small reason I stopped singing for Shah Rukh. In Main Hoon Na, they showed everyone from a spot boy to everyone else, but the singers. The same thing happened with Om Shanti Om. Stars sang Dhoom Tana. It was my voice. But it wasn’t shown anywhere. The self-respect was hurt. Why should I ask them to add my name? The problem is I don’t lack anything. So why should I ask for this?”
Abhijeet also said that he belongs to the Indian music industry and not Bollywood. Needless to say, his comments are nothing short of shameful. Though his songs had a huge impact on Shah Rukh Khan’s career, the actor became the ‘King’ solely due to his phenomenal talent and hard work. There are no two ways about it.
