WATCH: Colombian reporter molested and kissed on live TV at the FIFA World Cup
Safety of women remains a crumbling illusion in this world with the ever increasing cases of abuse and harassment. Be it on a road or an office or any place for that matter, the women of the country are left with nothing but fear in their minds and we bow down our heads in shame.
However, we bring you another such case and this time it took place at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia.
According to The Mirror, Colombia journalist Julieth Gonzalez Theran was kissed an groped by a fan during a live reporting session. She was live on TV when a fan emerged from nowhere and kissed her while touching her breasts. Speaking about the same, she said,
“I had been at the scene for two hours to prepare for the broadcast and there had been no interruptions. He came at me, gave me a kiss and he touched my breast. I had to continue, afterwards I tried to see if the man was still there but he had left.”
The Colombian insisted that one should know the line between affection and harassment.
“We do not deserve this treatment. We are equally as professional and deserving. I share the joy of football but we must identify the limits between affection and harassment.”
Theran, who was on duty for Deutsche Welle uploaded the video on Twitter.

This kind of behaviour from a fan is a disgrace to the sport and we sincerely hope for the guilty to be found and punished.
