Uday Chopra said India should legalise Marijuana, gets a savage reply from Mumbai Police

Bollywood actor Uday Chopra has gone out of our minds long ago and frankly speaking he could not really make it big in the industry despite featuring in the Dhoom series and Mohabbatein. But the actor is quite active on Twitter and has made a statement recently to which a lot of youth of the country will agree.

Uday Chopra had said on Thursday that India should legalise marijuana as it can be a huge revenue source and has medicinal benefits.

He tweeted on Thursday “I feel India should legalize marijuana. Firstly, It’s part of our culture. Secondly, I think if legalized and taxed it can be a huge revenue source. Not to mention it will remove the criminal element associated with it. Plus and most importantly it has a lot of medical benefits!”

Uday was smart enough to clarify while making the statement that he does not smoke it himself but making it legal would be a wise move by the government.

But the Mumbai Police took quick note of the tweet and gave a savage reply to the actor from their Twitter account. They reminded the actor and others that Marijuana is still illegal in India and asked all of us to spread the word as it can invite a penalty.

People loved the reply from the Mumbai police and believed that it was the right way to respond. It reminded many of them of Dhoom and the tweets are just hilarious, to be honest.

Though many people would have loved the legalisation of Marijuana in India, they cannot help but agree that Mumbai Police owned Uday Chopra here!
