10 YO boy steals ₹46 Lakhs from his father, distributes it among friends on Freindship Day

Friendship day has always been a matter of utmost importance to us. Yes, ever since the time Rahul and Anjali gave us the ultimate friendship goals with their portrayal of the same in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, we have somehow taken it too seriously.

Having said that, I remember my days at school on friendship days pretty clearly. While the maximum we could afford was friendship bands and greeting cards, here is a boy who crossed all limits of gifting. And why not, we are living in a world that’s going forward (or backward) with each passing day.

In an extraordinary incident, class 10 boy from Madhya Pradesh distributed a whopping ₹46 Lakhs among his classmates to celebrate the occasion. Reports reveal that he stole it from his father, who had earned it from the proceedings of a property sale worth ₹60 lakhs.

The father, who is a builder by profession had kept the money in the cupboard and found it missing. On informing the police, the investigation revealed that his son has distributed it among his friends.

The boy gave ₹15 lakhs to a daily wage earner’s son, and ₹3 lakhs to one who had completed his homework. No classmate of his left empty handed and nearly 35 of them received smartphones and silver bracelets as gifts.

Speaking about the same, superintendent of Police, B.S Tomar told TOI,

“The boy’s father has given us a list of students and we are trying to contact all of them. Parents of five students, who got the biggest shares, were summoned by the police and were told to return the money within five days. No case has been registered so far as all those involved are minors.”

15 Lakh has been recovered till now and the police hope to extract more in the coming days. Wow, that’s the grandest friendship day celebration I have heard of.
