Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni is widely regarded as one of the most effective captains to have ever graced the cricket field. The Ranchi boy has won India many laurels, courtesy to his brilliant temperament on the field. He is the only captain to have bagged all the three ICC trophies which is quite a thing to be proud of.
Apart from being a decorated captain, MS Dhoni is an outstanding finisher of the game who is absolutely lethal in the death overs. But one of his abilities which is less talked about but certainly one of the main reasons why India has enjoyed so much success in recent times is his wicket keeping.
The right handed batsman who has finished a game with a six on 9 occasions is also a brilliant wicket keeper. Dhoni, who is popularly known as ‘Mahi’ is lightning quick behind the stumps and in the last and the fifth one day international against Sri Lanka set another world record which is the highest number of stumpings in ODI history.
Many cricketers took this opportunity to congratulate the 36 year old on twitter including the master himself. Sachin seemed to be delighted with the feat achieved by Dhoni and left a wonderful message for the veteran cricketer on the popular social media platform.

Sachin quoted “Who said lightning doesn’t strike twice? Today it did for the 100th time! Well done, @msdhoni! Keep them coming :-)”
After Dhoni removed Akila Dananjaya from the crease the world cup winning captain went past Kumara Sangakkara who had 99 ODI stumpings to his name. Apart from this Dhoni will have other reasons too for remembering this Sri Lanka series as he became the sixth Indian cricketer to play 300 one day international matches after Mohammed Azharuddin, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh.
