Narendra Modi to attend Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding, shares picture on Facebook
Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli tied the knot with Bollywood Diva Anushka Sharma on the 11th of December 2017. The marriage held in Tuscany, Italy took the world of media by storm and wishes poured in for the couple on all social platforms. However, the wedding was kept restricted to only close family and friends and no celebrities were invited on the special occasion.
The couple headed to Finland for their honeymoon following the wedding but are now back in the country to host a reception for stretched family and friends in New Delhi on the 21st of December. However, the celebration will be followed by another big bash on 26th December in Mumbai, which will see superstars from Bollywood and the cricket fraternity grace the occasion.
The guest list of the Delhi reception now has a big guest in the name of Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the country. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma went to Modi ji themselves and handed over their beautiful wedding card which had a sapling attached to it. For all of you to know, the couple has taken up an initiative to help mother nature through the auspicious occasion. Every card has a sapling attached to it and the guests are requested to plant a tree.
Narendra Modi took to Facebook to share a picture from the moment. The picture had all three of them in it and it was all smiles. Anushka Sharma looked gorgeous in her blue attire, while Kohli carried his kurta more perfectly then ever. Modi captioned the picture as “Met Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. Congratulated them on their wedding.
