India has always been a place to welcome culture, tradition, and people from other countries and a lot of social events have been hosted in the country in the past few years. The best way of understanding some culture is obviously through its music. 2016 has given us a number of massive social events namely Sunburn Arena with Martin Garrix, Steven Wilson headlining NH7 Weekender which firms its roots all over the country once every year and also to mention the Global Citizen Event featuring Jay Z, Demi Lavato and headliners Coldplay which marked a foot fall of around 80000+ including more or less all Bollywood celebrities for the cause. As we proceed towards the end of 2017, Whats The hype will highlight all the upcoming social events this year thats gonna be big.

All the hardcore electronic music fans understand and cherish the value of December cause they know how their year is going to end. Sunburn, majorly being an electronic music festival has recently achieved the cult status of the world’s 9th best dance festival. The big social event is a intimidating party of unlimited quality music, entertainment, food and shopping. Goa and Sunburn, always mark a better love story than Twilight.

4. Ultra Music Festival, 2017 The Chainsmokers Tour, Mumbai & New Delhi

After pop star Justin Bieber’s India performance and Tomorrowland 2017 getting over a few weeks ago, the famous Grammy winning American DJ duo, The Chainsmokers, will be performing in Mumbai and New Delhi on 7th and 8th September.  On their Indian tour, The Chainsmokers will be accompanied by many other international DJs and artists. It is speculated that Priyanka Chopra, who collaborated with the duo for Erase, might also join them on stage. The tickets are priced at Rs. 2,500 onwards and is for you to book on Bookmyshow.com. 3. NH7 Weekender, 2017 – Pune & Meghalaya

Bacardi NH7 Weekender to be specific is back with its yearly event which the world waits for. This time it hits Pune (8-10 December) and Meghalaya (27-28 October) with its superb line up that can no way disappoint the fans. This is what was people waiting for! Mumbai-based events agency Opium Events recently confirmed the arrival of American prog band Dream Theatre that will make their India debut on 8th October, 2017. Organiser Cyrus Gorimar from Opium Events stated, “I tried to get them down in 2007 but it didn’t work out for whatever reason. I’ve kept trying and this past April I tried again and finally got them.” The prog rock giants will perform Mumbai’s MMRDA Grounds on October 8th as part of their “Images, Words & Beyond” 25th Anniversary World Tour. The ticket price ranges between Rs. 3600 – Rs. 25,200. Pack your bags for the time of your life!
