1. Dudhsagar Falls, Goa
Mesmerizing-320 metres of height, this waterfall trips down the hills of Goa and is usually translated to ‘ocean of milk’.
2. Jog Falls, Karnataka
Falls from the height of 253 metres, this waterfall falls from the Sharavathi River. The green scenic beauty makes the waterfall embrace its beauty more.
3. Shivanasamudra Falls, Karnataka
It is situated on the banks of the river Kaveri, which forms here the boundary to the Chamarajanagar District, and is the location of one of the first Hydro-electric Power stations in Asia, which was set up in the year 1902.
4. Nohkalikai Falls, Meghalaya
Falling from a height of 340 metres, this is India’s tallest plunge waterfall and is situated near Cherapunjee.
5. Soochipara Falls, Kerala
In the lap of nature, this three-tiered waterfall rests amongst the deciduous and evergreen forests.
6. Athirappilly Falls, Kerala
is Bollywood’s favourite and a raging tourist spot. Scenes from Guru, Dil Se, Bahubaali, Madras Café and many more were shot near this waterfall. It is the largest waterfall in Kerala, standing 80 feet tall.
7. Sissu Falls, Himachal Pradesh
This is one of the lesser known waterfalls lying beneath the beautiful greenery of the widespread mountains in the North.
8. Bhimlat Falls, Rajasthan
A pleasing scenery in the scorching heat of Rajasthan, Bhimlat Falls stands 60 metres tall. After enjoying at the falls, you can halt at the main bazaar to have Bundi’s very own ‘dal bade’ and another religious halt at Bundi’s favorite juice stalls. In the evening, Bundi looks like an old, forgotten city, now with some fancy lighting system and randomly scattered street lights.
9. Hogenakkal Falls, Tamil Nadu
Located in the amidst of the Melagiri Hills, it has a drop down elevation of 250 metres.
10. Thosegarh Falls, Maharashtra
The varied heights of the fall will make you feel mesmerized and located amongst the beautiful green scenery.
