As Farhan is already pumped up for his upcoming film Lucknow Central which is set to hit the screens this Friday, the man meanwhile has come up with some extraordinary and crispy stories from the past in one of the chat shows he was featured recently.
A few days before this all rounder Bollywood man gets back to his singer avatar for the movie, the actor appeared on No Filter Neha, a popular chat show hosted by Neha Dhupia herself. It is here where he disclosed past memories about Dil Chahta Hai, and a few more funny incidents that took place in his childhood and about the ever charged-up-dude of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh.
Revisiting his childhood memories, when he used to watch horror movies at night with his sister Zoya, he quoted “After Zoya and I watched horror movies, we had to cross a corridor to reach our bedroom and there is something scary about these corridors after watching a creepy horror movie. So we used to sing this song, ‘Disco 82’ to keep the ghosts away and keep ourselves safe. So, it was that spell we chanted to keep ghosts and spirits away” That’s something we all have experienced, isn’t it?
On his take on the biggest blockbuster movie of that time, Dil Chahta Hai, he revealed that neither Aamir Khan was the first choice to play Akash Malhotra nor was Saif Ali Khan to play Sameer in the movie. “I wanted Akshaye Khanna to play Akash, Hrithik Roshan for Sameer and Abhishek Bachchan for Siddharth (Sid). But films are generally made with a cast which was not on your wish list” said Farhan.
Yes, we would’ve loved to see these guys taking over the screen together, but maybe not after the movie which came out with flying colors. For us, it is better to keep it untouched.
Though Lucknow Central is releasing on September 15, the film has already got appreciation from a few eminent Bollywood celebrities. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, this movie works on a unique topic and is expected to be loved all over the country.
